The Greater Latrobe High School Clay Target Team is a school sponsored club sport offered to all students in 7th through 12th grade.

Established in 2020, our team started with a handful of area youth and has grown to over 40 athletes competing in both trap and skeet disciplines. The team is lead by our Head Coach, Merle Musick, and several assistant coaches.

We are hosted by the Sportsmen's Association of Greensburg and compete in the Pennsylvania High School Clay Target League. Our team participates in the Fall (August - October) and Spring (March - June) Conferences every school year and sends several athletes to compete in the PA State Tournament every Summer. 

Our priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship - in that order! We believe all area youth should have the opportunity to participate, and that each child should have a positive learning experience in a safe, fun environment, build friendships, teach sportsmanship, and have a fair and equal playing field.

Clay target shooting is currently the fastest growing and safest sport amongst high school students. As our team continues to grow, we feel that it’s important to educate everyone about our sport and the positive influence that shooting sports can have in an individual’s life.
